I love this takeaway! Once I sat next to an elderly Hungarian man on a long flight from Finland to the US. He didn't speak any English and I got the opportunity to help "translate" between him and the over-worked flight attendant. The memory is still vivid in my mind - maybe etched in there by the feel-good hormones sparked by helping.
(Your takeaway also has me thinking about being a mom - raising my kids to be independent and to be helpers, but also being able to accept help in life (something I could use more practice at ;)
Kind ness always wins and it feels so good. Even the littlest things can mean so much to someone. Thanks for reminding all of us because we need more of that in the world. Also, thanks to you, I started my creatine and kion EEAs this week. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for being so brave, authentic and sharing so much helpful info. Have a great week!
Yes… I resonate with this so much in my nursing career. Helping people during their most vulnerable times is so special to me. There are a handful of patients who have touched my heart in ways I never thought possible. Some days are absolutely terrible and exhausting, but the days where I get to be the reason someone smiled makes it all worth it 🩷
I started taking creatine for about a month after reading your post and some other research. I know you mentioned you can put weight on, which I did (3-4 lbs), but it was what seemed like fluid retention—maybe in my muscles? I could feel tightness when I bent my knees. Any idea if this is normal? I stopped taking it because I didn’t like the way it felt. Absolutely love all the benefits. Any thoughts?
Also, the older couple and how you helped them. So sweet.
I started taking creatine after your deep dive post (and additional subsequent research) and feel so good!
I am so stoked to hear it!!!
