I must say - you are truly inspirational! I am 60+ and have experienced a couple of restarts, i.e. career changed deciding to stay home with the kids now they’re out of the house and I’m having a bit of a time trying to re-launch this time around. There’s so much information out there about how to do it, what to do, when why? etc.. you narrow it down and I really appreciate it. Looking back this information just was not there when I was 40 or even 60. Sometimes I feel like it’s not even possible to gain the strength from the stamina the world says I need. ??? I’m trying to squeeze as much life out of what’s left for me, and it can be sooooo confusing. I am far from secondary, but I also at times feel far from the most fit, I can be. I know it takes time and sometimes I just wanna give up like for instance I haven’t been to the gym in a month and a half and (nursing a shoulder thing ) BUT I’m enjoying the rest! Europe tomorrow - Yay!! But upon my return, I’m going back over all your substacks and I’m gonna go for it. The rucking, the weightlifting and I’m gonna use you as my satellite! One question though, where does hear about all these wonderful retreats that you attend and host and appear st?
Sorry that was word vomit but I think, you’re like IT! Thank you for what you do!
Loved this one. As someone who is trying to reinvent their own path, reading about the fear and self doubt coming from such a strong and inspiring woman is reassuring that it’s not just me. Would love to learn or read an article on making moves to own your future. Changing or taking new career paths in your 40’s. I’m struggling and have a huge imposter syndrome effect going on! Congrats on pushing through personal comfort zones! ❤️😍
I appreciate you taking the time to tell me, Shannon! Trying to share the non-shiny parts of life, too. And sending you all the boosts, vibes and high-fives on your own adventure. xoxox
I couldn’t love this anymore 🙌🏻 It is the year of YES I can not wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for you. ✨✨✨ I’ll be sure to get your 2026 vision board kit ready!
Your bravery is commendable! Even though you’ve been doing it for a long time, it’s still incredibly nerve-wracking putting yourself out there the way you do. Looks like you’re having a lot of fun though and I’m sure that helps!
If you get invited to do this again, please share! I’d love to visit!
There will be one in May and another in November, it’s an amazing experience!
thank you so much for including my piece in your lovely newsletter ☺️💕

Oh my goodness, thank you!😭 And here’s to unlocking new versions of ourselves every decade/year and beyond!!! 🩵
I used to live in Springfield MO. I'm familiar with the beautiful Big Cedar Lodge. Looks like a wonderful retreat!
So you know! It is just so beautiful in southern Missouri. 🌳 ⛰️
Yes, it's very green. We now live in the New Mexican desert where we can see for miles.
Which is also beautiful. 🫠 I spend time in southwest Colorado/NM every summer…my happiest place!
That's great...Northern New Mexico is beautiful as well as southern Co. Thank you for your blog, I just started reading, I'm new to strength training.
You write with such honesty and realness. You are my forever inspo!
LOVE YOU!!!
Love this! Esp this — “And if the women who attended realized how much of an influence they had on me” 🥹🥹
Felt your heart in our short interaction and I hope our paths cross again!
